Day 9…Good Night

Hello World:
So glad to have you along this sacrificial 40 day journey. It has taken an extra effort to do everything today because I am at the stage of the fast whereas my energy comes and goes. So tonight, I am tired because we have our 5 am “Full Potential Gathering”. So I had better get rest. I am tired but determined to see what the finish line looks like on November 15th. Yippee!

Much love to you,

Getting to the Mountaintop

Hello World,
Are you the type of person to jump at everything that sounds good? Do you find yourself trying to possess the mountaintop all at once? Do you live in a zone called “immediate gratification”? Is “now or never” your motto? Is “all or nothing” your favorite statement? Do you eat the whole pie in one sitting or one slice at a time? Hmmm… Okay. I see.(I’m just thinking out loud) What am I thinking about? I am so glad you asked (smile). The reason I’m thinking out loud is because I am reflecting on myself…my past self, that is. You see, I used to be the person who would stand in the valley and leap for the mountaintop and SKIP the process of the steps that were necessary for the climb. When you run and never walk or fly and never drive, you miss the beauty that surrounds you. You miss the process of getting from a to z. You run passed the people you need to meet along the way. You miss the plan that accompanies the process. It’s a plan for growth, development, repentance, reflection, overcoming fears, self-awareness, knowledge, newness, revival, new people etc. It is the process that uncovers the promise.
Let me further explain: Every gift, talent and ability that you have been given (spiritually and naturally) as a vessel of clay (human being), comes with a promise. This “promise” consists of whatever reason or purpose you were endowed with the gift from the beginning. God, who is our Master Potter, placed in us gifts for distinct purposes. His purpose is our promise—if we allow the process!!!. Now, I’ll pause right at this moment and allow you to let that to soak in real good and I’ll finish this subject on the next post. Stay tuned.
Much love to you,
Melody Sherra
